Arta Gallery evening

I was invited to an evening celebrating fashion and arts from Peru. A local friend collaborated with the Peruvian Chamber of Commerce to create an evening she curated to showcase some of the incredible textiles, leather goods, jewellery and art with their creators and entrepreneurs.

I was also thrilled to be at Arta Gallery, well known as an art spot at the Distillery District - knowing that another artist I’m connected to was on show at the time. Janet Taylor is someone I admire from afar - she’s part of my online art group - and has shown at the Artist Project in Toronto several times. I love her work - it’s peaceful and has a gentle strength. For me the beauty is in it’s ability to quietly capture your attention - no shouting or drama, just a quiet assured confidence.
