“What a wonderful day..

..I’ve never seen this one before” - Maya Angelou.

This quote really resonated when I went down a rabbit-hole into the website called Day Crafting (link below). Happy interactions this week meant alot of socialising time and ‘Moments’ that I know are all part of the 80/20 planning rule from Day Crafting “80% full so you can give that 20% to effective rest, delight, connection – the stuff that makes up a good life”. This week I not only hosted a creative meet up, I attended a networking event in the city and a celebration of printing innovation here in Oakville.

I’m more of an ambivert than ever - I thrive meeting new people and I love idea-generating conversations but I need to recharge and know when to enjoy my alone time. For those of you not on social media you can view some of my alone moments below. I enjoy early walks when I’m local and I’m more than often by the water when I catch the sunrise.

The Day Crafting site really hit home for me, I found a short read on how to cultivate connections. If you are even vaguely intrigued read his piece on deeper connections, which came to me after a week of meeting with some great people.

I made time to finally attend a Canada Ireland Foundation event after receiving their newsletter for the past 4+ years. Maybe I’m ready to accept that after 15 years in Canada and more than 30 years living away from Ireland I am ‘part of the Irish diaspora’ - but for now I can still say I have two homes !
