Noise canceling headphones Good use lawnmower?

I just started a new job mowing, and mowing the lawn becomes boring without music. I'd love some unobtrusive headset to listen to my iPod I do not want to ruin my hearing for having to turn my ipod the whole way. Is there someone suggest some good headphones (buds or not) to help remove the noise of a lawnmower? I've heard most of Cancellation Headphones Noise only block ambient noise, no loud noises.
