5 Greens you should add to your Diet
What if you knew that certain foods could improve your health? Would you consume more of them or simply discard them? Well, believe it or not, majority of us are aware of the health benefits from the five produce which I am about to list; however, we still choose not to consume them as often as we should. In this article I will list five greens and the reasons why you should make them a part of your daily diet.
- Spinach. Spinach provides our bodies with more nutrients than any other food. It is laden with vitamins, flavonoids and minerals. It can help lower blood pressure and protect from heart disease.
- Kiwi. The kiwi fruit contains more vitamin C than an orange. It also has more heart healthy potassium than a banana. These are two excellent reasons to add more kiwis to your diet.
- Avocado. This fruit is rich in the healthy type of fat, also known as monounsaturated fat. This helps the avocado provide us with cholesterol lowering abilities. It can help you lower bad cholesterol and increase good cholesterol.
- Bok choy. This vegetable is laden with vitamin A, vitamin C, iron, and calcium. It is easy to prepare and delicious.
- Green tea. Green tea is a powerhouse of antioxidants. It can offer protection against cancer and heart disease. As an added bonus, green tea contains zero calories!
These five greens should be a part of your daily diet. There are many herbs which are derived directly from Mother Nature which can help you attain various health goals. Green salad: honeydew melon, green grapes, kiwi and green apple. Has anyone thought about this or have someone else made one? Only an alternative to regular fruit salad.

Ingredients: 1 cup molasses 2 melon green seedless grapes 1 kiwi fruit 1 fruit leather star 1 green apple lemon 1 cup sparkling white grape juice Melons 3: Cut and remove the seeds and cut outer shell; dice. Grapes: Remove stems and cut in half. Kiwi: peel and chop into quarters. carambola: thinly slice. Apple: Core finely cut, and place the slices in a bowl of grapes melon, kiwi and star fruit. Lime: finely cut peel and cut into thin strips. Blanch the strips in boiling water for 30 seconds, drain and rinse in cold water. Squeeze the lemon juice and pour in the fruit. Place in refrigerator for one hour. Before serving, place in containers and add the sparkling grape juice on top. Sprinkle with lemon rind. Servings: 6 …. Try …
